WE KNOW YOU HAVE QUESTIONS!

ASK THE SLOPPY TUNA.

You Asked:

What’s with all of the construction at the Sloppy Tuna. I just made my first trip out to MTK in a while and I was pretty surprised to find the Tuna taken apart.

-Curious

The Sloppy Tuna Says:

Well Curious we here at the Tuna pride ourselves on turning adversity into opportunity. Last year’s closing of summer brought with it one of the worst hurricanes the East Coast ever witnessed and while some lesser establishments folded up their tents or put the “For Sale” sign on the window we decided to pick up the pieces and recreate the Tuna dynasty with epic splendor. You’ll be amazed at the renovations that are currently underway. We’ve completely rebuilt our second floor. We’ve expanded our bar space up there with an emphasis on maximizing our outdoor space and capitalizing on our ocean views. Downstairs we’ve retooled our patio bar to afford more space for live entertainment. This summer, in addition to staples that made The Sloppy Tuna legendary (goldfish races, ladies night, etc.) we’re featuring live music almost every weekend in July, Taco and Tequill Late Night on Wednesdays and much more. Check the calendar to see what’s happening. In short, Curious, get down to the Tuna early and often. We’re all new and a little more swanky, but at heart…..just as Sloppy.

You Asked:

Its been a year already….Where’s my T-shirt?

-Still Shirtless

The Sloppy Tuna Says:

Shirtless -

Endulge me for a moment while I play Tunatective….Since you found a way to submit this query and expect to see the answer I know you have access to a computer and the Sloppy Tuna web site. I’m also guessing you visited the Sloppy Tuna store, accessible directly from my site. We’re currently offering more than just T-Shirts. We’ve got a something for everyone there. I’m pretty good at this game aren’t I?  Well here’s the one thing that’s got me a little stumped….You know where the merchandise is available, you know how to get it……yet you’ve been shirtless for a year……Me thinks someone needs a job. Why don’t you go wash a couple cars and by a T-shirt before you wind up with skin cancer.

You Asked:
Dear Mr. Sloppy Tuna
Sloppy, (or is it Mister Tuna) here's my dilemma, I just rolled into town with my wife and two kids. I'm driving a minivan!! and I'm trapped in what could be a mid-life crisis. Is there anything you can do to help?
Odyssey

The Sloppy Tuna Says:
Odyssey,
I think we can help. This isn't going to be easy. A lot of damage has been done. A minivan? Good God man how could you have let this happen to yourself. You need to bring that family down to the beach, get them set up in the sand and head directly to the Sloppy Tuna. I'd suggest heading down for a Sloppy Poppy on Wednesday, then tell your family you'll meet them at home later on, and make sure you stay for a White Trash Wednesday. It's not going to get you out of the rut, but it's a start!

You Asked:
Dear Sloppy,
I'm getting married and I'm coming to Montauk for my Bachelorette Party. Can you guys do something special for me?
Bride-to-Be

The Sloppy Tuna Says:
Bride-to-Be
You have to meet Little Randy Montuna before walking down the aisle. He's at the Tuna on Thursdays for Ladies Night.  Trust me, he's special.

You Asked:
Dear Mister Sloppy Tuna,
Why a tuna?
Vexed

The Sloppy Tuna Says:
Dear Vexed,
We grappled with this conundrum for an inordinate amount of time and then we decided, "Why Not?" Not to mention it was funnier than, "The Sloppy Barracuda"

You Asked:
Dear Mr. Sloppy Tuna,
Why the F@)#* is Montak so @#&%*@&!# far?
Anxious

The Sloppy Tuna Says:
Dear Anxious,
Montauk is neither far nor close. It's neither north nor south. Montauk is a feeling and the Tuna is its vessel.....

You Asked:
I need a t-shirt.

Artie W.

The Sloppy Tuna Says:
Sloppy Tuna Gear is a treasured commodity...Be patient! T-shirts and more will be available shortly.  Check back at our "Merchandise" portal in the coming months, or head down to The Tuna and have a Sloppy Poppy to hold you over until we can get you some gear!
